Our kick-off to celebrate our upcoming Europe Day activities: My House of Europe

Last Friday we launched our workshop “My House of Europe” — a special kick-off to celebrate our upcoming Europe Day activities at our school. As a European School, it is especially important to us to bring young people into dialogue and make European values tangible in everyday life.

For this event, a Year 4 class from our neighboring primary Europa -Schule joined one of our vocational AV – media classes (AVM52)  for a collaborative workshop. To start the day, the students got to know each other through a lively People Bingo, quickly breaking the ice and building connections across age groups.

Working in mixed teams, the students then explored the idea of a shared House of Europe. Through creative discussions and poster design, they reflected on important questions about our common future:
What unites us? What divides us? And what do we need in order to live well together in Europe?

The workshop concluded with presentations of the students’ posters, revealing thoughtful ideas and diverse perspectives from both younger and older learners. Our media design students also created a first teaser capturing the energy and creativity of the day.

We are already looking forward to visiting our friends at the neighboring Europa Schule soon, where we will watch the film created from today’s material together.

Bringing young Europeans together to exchange ideas, listen to different perspectives, and imagine their shared future is exactly what Europe Day is about.

A special thank you to all students and colleagues involved — your enthusiasm and openness truly made our hearts jump.
