Another event at our school to celebrate Europe Day 2026.
A full time BF-design class (BFG51) from our school created posters on the theme of diversity in Europe in their design class with Annette Wolf. Instead of a traditional presentation, a neighboring 4th grade primary school class from Grundschule Westerwaldstr. stepped in as the jury.
Our students introduced their work and talked through their ideas and creative decisions — in a way that made sense to a younger audience. The pupils asked honest questions, shared what stood out to them, and gave their own feedback.

Several teams were awarded prizes for their achievements, and some lucky winners will receive certificates for our school kiosk.
But as always, there were also some true winners of hearts.

It was particularly interesting to observe the communication between the different age groups – how quickly they started cooperating, encouraging each other, and finding common ground. What made this special was the Perspektivwechsel/ change of perspective: seeing Europe, diversity, and design through different eyes. Very much in the spirit of “Young Europeans”.
A simple format, but a meaningful exchange — and a good reminder that learning doesn’t always move in just one direction.
To be continued next year!
Thanks a lot to all creative minds that were part of this project.
